Dear FICIL Members,

During this delightful but busy holiday season, it was a pleasure to see so many of you present at the FICIL Members Meeting on 17 December!

It was a real treat to hear what Mr Mārtiņš Kazāks and Mr Andris Strazds from the Bank of Latvia had to say about global economic trends and what potential impact certain events could have on Latvia. A big thank you to Mr Kazāks and Mr Strazds for their thought-provoking presentations and a special thank you to ALTUM for hosting FICIL at Doma laukums 4.

To end the year on exciting news, we are very happy to welcome the newest member of FICIL – BTA (Baltic Insurance Company). After a successful presentation by Mr Wolfgang Stockmeyer, FICIL members unanimously voted in favour of BTA joining the membership as of 2019.

The holiday season is not a quiet period for FICIL. We are actively preparing for the FICIL Sentiment Index 2018 launch event that will take place on 9 January 2019, 10:00 at SSE Riga. You are kindly invited to attend: the sign up form can be found here.
