Travel retail company ATU Duty Free has become a member of the Foreign Investors’ Council in Latvia (FICIL).

ATU is a joint venture between TAV Airports Holding, Unifree Duty Free and Gebr. Heinemann. It was established in 2000 and has expanded to become a successful international duty free operator chain and the leading duty free operator in Turkey. ATU currently runs over 110 stores at 21 airports, 1 cruise port, in 7 countries across 3 continents, provides recruitment for more than 1.700 employees, presents more than 50.000 referenced products of over 100 international elite brands to its customers. ATU Duty Free operates 8 duty free stores in Riga International Airport since 2011.
FICIL is a non-governmental organisation, which unites large foreign-owned companies from different industries, foreign trade chambers and Stockholm School of Economics in Riga. FICIL’s mission is to use the experience and knowledge of its members to provide recommendations for public sector to improve Latvia’s business environment and competitiveness in attracting foreign investment.
